Veteran's Day

Twenty years ago today my mom passed away.  I was at work at Madison Drugs, and was called to the phone.  This was before the days of cell phones and I rarely got a call at work. I was puzzled, especially when it was a sister that I had very infrequent contact with?   She said that mom had passed away.  I was standing next to my boss, and as I fell to the floor, he caught me and picked me up. His wife took me home and waited for my husband to arrive.  We arranged our tickets to New York along with our two sons, who were still close by.  Our oldest son even spoke at my mom's service.  Anyway...just remembering. 
Twenty years have FLOWN by...I am trying to slow it down so I can enjoy what's left.
