Gun & Garden

 Or is it, Garden & Gun?  This magazine began showing up at my house and I don't know why I got it, but now it's one of my favorites.   Ads for high end items, stories about dogs, but my favorite are all the stories about the South.  We have lived here as transplants from New York for 35 years and this is home for sure.  I enjoy reading the experiences others have had when they are fortunate enough to live in Alabama, the Carolinas, yes, Tennessee...anywhere South!

I submitted the story of how I met my husband - who by the way, had been raised in the 'Heart of Dixie' and when I met him, he was so homesick for Bama that it was a constant topic of conversation.  We spent a few years in New York to start our married life, but then the golden opportunity was presented to bring him back 'home'.  It has been the best thing to happen to our family.  A great place to raise our sons and live this amazing Southern life style.  Sports, lake life, sweet tea, Southern hospitality and smoked meat.  It's a great life, and now it's home until I move to my heavenly home.
