Passing Judgement
Just read these thoughts from Joshua Rogers on my newsfeed and they are worth passing along.
In passing judgement on another, you condemn yourself because you, the judge, practice the very same things. (Check out Romans 2:1)
"If I see the speck in your eye, I have a plank in mine." Oswald Chambers
Everything wrong thing I find in your, God finds in me. Stop having a measure stick for others! There is always one more fact in other's lives that we know nothing about. God doesn't appoint us to evaluate others. He calls us to LOVE. And if I am to call out a legitimate wrong, I am called to do so with humility. (Galatians 6:1)
Judging comes so easy - (I do it all the time - on 565, with siblings, with friends). We need to give the world a break...stop looking at other's imperfections and let God take care of evaluating others. Then and only then can I get the timber out of my own eye. Ouch!
P.S. I ordered his book on Amazon - Confessions of a Happily Married Man. We'll see...
