Birth Thoughts...

Yesterday was the day that my first born entered the world 46 years ago.  Dang it went fast!  Anyway, some thoughts about birth.  While I  pass no judgment on those who decided that it wasn't the right time to add a child to their world - and I understand that because our son was not 'planned' and the timing was not just right, but I allowed him to live and I very glad that I did!

When I am in my hot yoga class I see signs and marks of birth on the women, and while I used to think that my stretch  marks and messed up belly were ugly, I see them differently than I used to.  When I look at those women - it's super hot and we wear a bra top and yoga pants - I admired those stretch marks that start on their back because the skin was pulled so tight to bring life into the world.  Actually it's beautiful.

Sure, I  recognize that abortion is a hot topic these days because of the decision of the Supreme Court, but I often wonder about those who are shouting the loudest...someone let them live.   Again, no judgment.  Some of my dearest friends and family made that decision and likely didn't make it lightly.

Peace and hope sent.
