Courage/Goals
Today, I have been reading about 'dumb courage' vs. 'smart courage'. Dumb courage is risking something for nothing, no forethought, no gain and it doesn't consider the consequences. Smart courage counts the cost, assesses risks/rewards and practices due diligence...certainly not mindless, in fact, it's mindful. Important, it does the right no matter the circumstances. Best way to figure out if something is 'right', know yourself and your values, because they are a good guide.
After figuring out what kind of courage you are using (or want to use), in your life, then you set your goals. What do you want to accomplish with your life? Who do you want to impact? I made my list this morning. And along those same lines, there is a hospice nurse that helps people die...love her quote. "I wish I had lived my life true to myself." Make these two things meet. What do you want to do/accomplish with your life and then have the courage to go for it. Make it happen. This will bring peace - if not now, eventually it will. Peace and Happy Sunday.
