Father Greg

So, I just listened to the CNN interview with Father Greg Boyle of Homeboy  Industries.  I'm still going over the conversations that I had with the teens at the D Home yesterday and wish that there was something like Homeboy Industries here in my hometown.    I hear stories that are similar to the ones that Father Greg hears and yet, I never see these kids again, and consequently never able to help them further? 
The other thing I am contemplating today is how can I have such a burden for these teens and not grace those closest to me?  Why am I so hard on some?   I wish I had more love and as Father Greg spoke over and over in the interview about - 'tenderness'.
