Things to give up in 2018...

  1. Unhealthy lifestyle:   two things to keep in mind - healthy diet and physical actiivty
  2. Short-term mindset:   successful people set long-term goals and know these aims are merely the result of short-term habits they do each day
  3. Playing small:   If you never try and take great opportunities, or allow your dreams to become realities, you will never unleash your true potential
  4. Your excuses:   successful people know that they are responsible for their life, no matter their starting point, weaknesses and past failures
  5. Fixed mindset:  invest an immense amount of time on a daily basis to develop a growth mindset, acquire new knowledge, learn new skills and change their perception so it can benefit your life
  6. Believing in the magic bullet:   small continual improvements made every day will be compounded over time and give the desirable results
  7. Perfectionism:   fear of failure often prevents us from taking an action - this equals lost opportunities
  8. Multi-tasking:   Being fully present and committed to one task is indispensable
  9. Your need to control everything:   detach from the things you can't control and focus on the ones you can and know that sometimes all you can control is your attitude
  10. Saying 'yes' to things that don't support your goals:  Ask yourself; 'does this get me closer to my goal?'
  11. Toxic people:   people you spend the most time with, add up to who we become
  12. Your need to be liked:   no matter what you do, you won't be able to make everyone happy
  13. Your dependency on social media and television:   web browsing and television watching are diseases of today's society; these should never be an escape from your life or your goals
