Looking Deeper

Today,  12/13/20 is our 45th anniversary.   Yet another cliché...the years just flew by!  

Ann Voskamp always set my heart moving in the right direction, so I purposely  picked up one of her books.    Today's reading is about how God looks at matters differently than we do... past the outward appearances.  "We are constantly schooled to have eyes that see things that are unimportant and the media of this world aggressively schools our souls to see the exact opposite of the way God sees.  When my priorities are all things unseen, it's only then that my life begins to have substance and weight."  

 It may sound strange to try and focus on what in 'unseen'...what does that even mean?  I think it means that God sees the forgotten, and yes, He sees our hearts and yes, He wants us to focus less on the news and more on the Good News of this season.  More on how we can find joy and peace in the chaos we find ourselves in, and less on being more divisive.  More on love and less on hate.  More on finding what's right with each other, than what's lacking.  Look deeper?  See the unseen things?  I will try.  Peace...
