The Holy
Pretty sure I have said it before, but I can't stop reading the two books, Barking to the Choir and Tattoos on the Heart. Father Greg has such a way of looking at our relationship with others and with God. He offers such freedom! Today, he asks me to'be constantly on the lookout for the holy in each moment.' So most people, Greg says, are looking for light streaming through a stained glass windows, a choir, angels even...
But he says no...the 'holy' is people and I especially enjoy how he reaches to the marginalized and broken. For that's where I came from and it is leaders like him that help pull me out of a deep pit and set my feet on The Rock. 'We go over and over old fear-filled stories, when we really should be on the lookout for that sacred Presence, deep peace and unshakable holy assurance.'
Dang G! Read the books...they will help you see God and the broken in a whole new light. Peace...
