My physician recommended a book by Dr. Daniel Amen about brain health.  It is a real life changer!  It is essential to care for our body and consequently care for our brain.  I know several people who is suffering from dementia, and life changes completely without your brain power.  Here are some of Daniel's best tips:
  • Avoid foods that are highly processed, pesticide sprayed, high glycemic, sugar laden and low fiber
  • Begin to understand what it means to develop healthy routines
  • Take his brain assessment - it will tell you the health of your brain and how to improve it
  • Know your lab values and health numbers and work to optimize them
  • Know your risks factors of depression, accelerated aging and Alzheimer's-begin prevention
  • Expand your health routine to include meditation, deep relaxation and question negativity
  • Start to discuss your past failures and painful memories and find meaning in the suffering
  • Share this message with friends, coworkers and loved one 
  • Focus on the abundance of your health rather than being deprived
  • Be excited to help others gain health - share this message and even his book
