Man's Search For Meaning

Reading the book, Man's Search For Meaning,  by Victor Frankl.  He instructs us that 'we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how we cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward.'
He tells the story of how he was given a visa to America shortly before they joined WW II,  and it would mean leaving his aging parents.  He said that he needed 'a hint from heaven' as to what to do.  He noticed a piece of marble lying on the table at home and when he asked his father about it, he explained that he had found it at the site where a synagogue had been burned down.  His father brought it home because it was part of the tablets on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed.  One gilded Hebrew letter was engraved on the piece and his father explained that the letter stood for one of the Ten Commandments.  Which one, Victor asked his father and the answer was his 'hint from heaven'.  It was 'honor thy father and mother that they days may be long upon the land.'  He stayed in Austria.
I want to hear God that clearly.   How about you?
